Phase I Testing: D-Day

Tomorrow's the big day. I'm a little nervous. The tests themselves don't worry me too much, but it is the everything else. I read that at this point, my chances are 1 in 70. If I pass, they come down to about 1 in 14 (I think). Better odds, but the PFT results are still lingering as the wild card influence into the process.

My results were actually worse than I had imagined they might be for my first PFT self-evaluation last week. Sit-ups and push-ups were about what I expected, but the sprint had me sucking air 50m short of the finish line. You have to test in order with 5 minutes rest between, so by the time I got to the 1.5 miles, I was dead on my feet and couldn't even finish! I was sooo pissed at myself. As the weight continues to come off, it will get better. I am confident with a couple months that I can shed 20-30 more lbs. (down 10 already in the last mo.) and get up to snuff. I just hope I get the chance.
